Projects 28-30: Stationary Birthday Gift June 17, 2010

The same day I actually completed my first post to this blog (date on post says May 13, but it wasn’t actually posted until May 16) and was wondering how many months it would take for someone to stumble across my blog (except my friends whom I told over and over again they had to check it out) Rebecca found me, and let me know that she would be checking out my blog regularly, so I had better keep my word of completing 365 SU projects in 365 days. 🙂  Well her birthday was a little over a week ago, and I had wanted to thank her for being my first non- coerced follower.  I also knew she was a little down because her fiance had recently been deployed overseas, and would not be able to celebrate her birthday with her, so I played a little trick on her….I know…it’s not nice to mess with people who are already down, but it was a NICE trick 🙂

I asked her for her address so I could send her a birthday card.  Now wouldn’t it have been pretty cheesy of me to then send her just a birthday card???  What kind of surprise would that have been? Instead I made her a stationary set so she could use it to keep in touch with her friends and family.

And did I mention she also has a stamping blog…..check it out 20 Something Stamper.  She has the cutest coffee card on there that she just posted today, and I am going to just have to case it 🙂 I love the retro feel of it!!!  We are now online stamping buddies encouraging each other to keep creating.  That’s what is so great about the internet….If there aren’t many people in your immediate area that share your interests you have the internet, that can make people far away seem just like a neighborhood friend.

Cool News!!!  In the new catalog both the small tag punch and the large tag punch are returning!!!  Unfortunately I do not know what the name of the tag stamp set is that I used.  It was retired long ago, and I bought the set second hand, and it did not have the label on it (but the individual stamps do have the SU copyright on them).
