Today I went to a bridal shower for the wife of a co-worker/close friend of my husband. Yep, I said bridal shower for the wife…..they have already been married for a year, as they eloped just before her husband went to Iraq with the Army, and now that he is home they are going back and doing all the wedding stuff.
Anyway…. I DO NOT like this card I made for her. Yet, I am still posting it because it took me a long time to make it and the creative vision behind it was good. Once again, I was basing the card off the wedding invitation. This invitations has a bunch of small flowers all over it that are Orange, Red, Pink, and Purple. So I decided to take the bouquet from the Blissful Bride set, use a marker to get just the flowers and not the stems, and then made a mask so I could overlap the flowers without making a total mess of it. (Like I said the design inspiration behind it was quite good, but….) I then colored in all the tiny flowers and covered them with Glassy Glaze thick embossing powder. That part of the project turned out pretty close to how I envisioned (which is why I am still posting it), but it was all down hill from there 😦 Maybe if I would have made this card a few days a go, instead of early this morning, I would have had more time to better design the rest of the card. Well, I have a week until the wedding ceremony to do better on the next card 🙂
