Hi Everyone,
I have found an efficient way of keeping up with my 365 projects in 365 days challenge!! If I sit down with just one stamp set at a time and create several projects focusing on just that stamp set I seem to get a lot of projects done in one sitting, and in not a lot of time. This is a true life saver with all the driving I have been doing to spend time with my grandmother…And if I get the job that I have been crossing my fingers for, this efficiency will help me continue with this challenge 🙂
The stamp set I set my focus on today is the Friends Never Fade set from the brand new 2010-2011 Stampin’ Up! Idea Book and Catalog. I was able to create 5 completely different cards in about 2 hours….How’s that for efficiency? I must confess that none of these are really “original ideas” and a couple are outright copies of other cards I have seen. There are just so many awesome cards posted on various sites using this set that I just could not help myself but to make them for myself 🙂 I will give credit to the appropriate person on each card.
Project 51 of 365: Friends Never Fade in White
51 of 365: Friends Never Fade in White
This card is basically a complete replication of a card made by Wendy Wexler (except the extra blob of ink. lol. ) that I saw on the demonstrator-only website.
If you look closely you will see that I made an “oopsy” on this card. My first thought was to start over, but then I remembered how I always tell everyone at classes and workshops, that it doesn’t matter if you mess up, just to go with it, because homemade cards aren’t supposed to be perfect. If we wanted perfect cards we would go to the store and buy them. (The mistake is the extra blob of green ink by the stem of the flower…I dropped the stamp..lol… If I didn’t point it out, and if you didn’t own the stamp, you may have just thought that was part of the stamp…)
